| | Aaron and Amanda Crabb in concert tonight | | My kids and I really enjoy listening to the gospel group The Crabb Family. They are not singing together as a group anymore, they felt led by God to go separate ways. They are all involved in different ministries but still singing gospel music. One of the twins, Aaron, and his wife Amanda are going to be singing in a church about 30 to 45 minutes from where we live. When we found out about it my daughter Amanda asked her boyfriend if he would be interested in going because he loves southern gospel music also. He was interested and I asked her to ask him if he would mind if Stuart and I come along with them. He was very nice and said he wouldn't mind at all. So the four of us, Amanda, Mark, Stuart and I are all going to the singing tonight. We are really looking forward to it. I'm going to take pictures so if any of you are interested in seeing them I'll be uploading them to my computer. God Bless and have a terrific evening and rest of the weekend!!! | |

| | Who's Really Being Unconstitutional? | | On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Barbara B. Crabb ruled that the National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional. The case was filed by the Freedom From Religion Foundation, a Wisconsin-based group whose purposes, as stated in its bylaws, are to promote the separation of church and state and to educate the public on matters relating to atheism, agnosticism and non theism. Looking up religion in Encarta World English Dictionary I see number three on the list, "Personal beliefs or values - a set of strongly held beliefs, values, and attitudes that somebody lives by." Number four on the list "Obsession - an object, practice, cause, or activity somebody is completely devoted to or obsessed by." Seems to me, the only religion that is trying to unconstitutionally force itself on the American people is the Freedom From Religion Foundation. What's your opinion? | |

| | Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir gives a great worship experiwnce | | I just had an awesome worship experience this afternoon after listening to the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir I'm Amazed album. The album is a gift of my friend from New Jersey last Christmas 2005. I consider the gift as a great musical treasure since then for it touches my spiritual life deeply.
I particularly like the rendition of the song "I'm Amazed", a song composed by Carol Cymbala who is the choir director of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and the executive producer of the " I'm Amazed" album. The song is about the richness of God's unconditional love and mercy to a sinner. Jason Crabb, the soloist who sung "I'm Amazed" sung with so much depth and feelings that gives much glory and exaltation to the Lord JesusChrist. The rendition of the song awakens the spirit of worship and gratitude in the heart of every child of God.
Another great musical piece sung marvelously in the album by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir is the song "Song of Moses" . As I listen to the choir singing the song, my body trembles in awe of the greatness and glory of God, wonderfully expressed with much reverence in the choir rendition of the musical piece. | | Who most inspires you? | | Who most inspires you as a writer?Somebody once said to become a good writer you need to read the good writers, the bad writers and everybody in between. It's like relationships - you can't know what you like, or what really suits you, unless you discover what doesn't do it for you at all.So what kind of writers inspire you to pick up your pen and start writing? Which kinds make you give up, knowing you could never reach their lofty heights? Who was it who made you sit down, think 'I could do that' and try, ever since?Personally I have really dug and been inspired by Jack Kerouac for the last couple of years. His motto of 'First thought, best thought' applies to writing as well as wider life and is truly inspiring when you realise that all you need to succeed is to go with your gut feeling and do what feels right.
