Talk about more music here!
Marty Robbins
marty robbins was not a particularly good look person, but how he could sing. I loved all his songs, in fact never found one I did not like. When his special show comes on public TV it is the one I watch. If others in the family want to watch something else, too bad.
wellllllll..i never felt more like singing the bluuuuues...
How many of you remember that song! I still sing it! My cats love it when I sing that song! Go figure that one out..lol. By the way..anyone..singing the blues? and I don't mean vocally. lol. I found a site singandsnap I think its called..have to check it up..where you can sing any song and also do a duet even if the other person is across the ocean. The internet is so fantastic. Any singers in MyLot..what's your type and do you do any gigs?

The boy later said he felt “like someone had punched me in the face.” It was a feeling shared by many in America and around the world. Years later, in 1971, that paperboy, Don McLean, would write the song “American Pie,” which gave an enduring name to the event: the Day the Music DiedA reference to the beloved "sock hop".(Leather-soled street shoes tear up wooden basketball floors, and rubber-soled sneakers grip too much for dance moves, so dancers had to take off their shoes.)Man, I dig those rhythm 'n' bluesSome history. Before the popularity of rock and roll, music, like much else in the U. S., was highly segregated. The popular music of black performers for largely black audiences was called, first, "race music", later softened to rhythm and blues. In the early 50s, as they were exposed to it through radio personalities such as Allan Freed, white teenagers began listening, too. Starting around...
